Robert Willis formerly of Brockton & Easton; 84 FITCHBURG Robert E. Willis died peacefully March 5, 2009 after a lengthy illness. He was 84. Robert was born in Brockton and raised in Easton. He was the youngest child and only son of the late Burton E and Pauline (Clark) Willis. He served in the Army during World War II. He retired from Polaroid in Norwood, where he also worked in the mechanical maintenance department. He enjoyed hunting and fishing his entire life. He was husband to the late Julia (Bowling) Willis to whom he was married to for 48 years. He was preceded in death by his three sisters, Muriel Moberg, Ruth Brooks, and Edna Hatchfield; two children Pauline Jones and Robert L. Willis; and a grandson. He is survived by his youngest daughter, Carrie L. Monty from Westminster; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. WILLIS Burial service will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Friday, March 27th at 1:00 PM.
