LAFOREST, Richard Joseph - In loving memory of Richard Joseph Laforest, 66 years, who passed away Thursday, May 7th, 2009 at the SRH-St. Joseph's Health Centre. A well known and respected life resident of Garson. He was a retired self employed municipal contractor. A proud Canadian he was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br# 336. In his younger years he was an avid snowmobiler and presently a keen gardener. Always quick to give a helping hand to others he will be remembered as a devoted and loving family man. Beloved husband of Carol (Cull) Laforest of Garson. Loving father of Robert (wife Alice Loughridge) and Louis (wife Michelle Gladu) both of Garson, Linda (husband Don Brady) and Lianne (husband Greg Marshall) both of Skead. Cherished Pepere of Eric, Tyler, Dylan, Julien, Justin and Danielle. Dear son of Albert and Anaise (Raymond) Laforest predeceased. Dear brother of Leo (wife Anette) of Sudbury, Gerard (wife Francoise) of Garson, Andre (1st wife Madeliene) both predeceased (2nd wife Celine of Garson) and Alfred (wife Betty predeceased) of Sudbury. Sadly missed by loving brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews. Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral prayers in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Monday, May 11th, 2009 at 10am. Interment in the St. John's Cemetery, Garson. Donations to the Lung Association or Northeastern Ontario Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
