ROCHESTER — Reginald Ernest Grenier, 72, 56 Chamberlain St., died Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at the Rochester Manor.Born June 10, 1933, in Rochester, NH., he was the son of the late Earl and Evelyn (Rolfe) Grenier.He had lived in Rochester all of his life. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He then went to work at General Electric as an engineer and retired from GE in 1992. He was the first president of Spaulding High School Baseball Boosters. He helped organize the first game played. He also was the founder of the Nighttime Under the Lights Baseball in Rochester. He enjoyed coaching baseball, fishing, and hunting. He was also a past member of the Rochester Jaycees. Members of his family include his wife of 49 years, Jean (Blomberg) of Rochester; his daughter, Cheryl Meyer and her husband, Peter, of Rochester; his sons, Bruce Grenier and Mary Cano of Jacksonville, Fla., and Stephen Grenier and his wife, Andrea, of Stratham; his grandchildren, Aaron and John Meyer, Erica and Michael Grenier of Jacksonville, and Kristin and Kelly Grenier of Stratham; his sister-in-law, Rachel Grenier; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also special friends, Connie and Charlie Scott of Rochester and Frank and Joan Knights of Rochester.He was predeceased by his brother, Arthur Grenier.Calling hours will be held Sunday, July 17 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the R. M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., Rochester, N.H. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 18 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of R. M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., Rochester, with the Rev. Dan Huggard, officiating.Burial will follow in the Rochester Cemetery, Franklin Street, Rochester, N.H.
