VAN ALLEN, Mr. Ralph Edward “Rip“ - Peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, October 27,2009 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Hilda (nee McKeiver) 2004. Loving father of Jill Scott (Brian), Bill and Mike (Linda). Cherished grandfather of Reg, Doug (Tara), Ted, Justin (Cindy), Melissa and Jesse. Special grandpa and “Big Pop“ to 6 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Elta McLeod, Sandra Van Allen and Kirk. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Edna (nee Kirk), his sister Marie McDonald and his brother Mac. Friends will be received at the NISBETT FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 600 Monaghan RD., S., Peterborough on Saturday, October 31, 2009 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. A Celebration of Rip's Life will be held at 11 a.m. in the Nisbett Chapel.
