LYONS, Patricia Mary - On Thursday February 5, 2009 Patricia passed away peacefully at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Hospital at the age of 73 years. Loving wife of Alfred Lyons for 55 years. Dear mother of Paul (Birthe) Lyons, Switzerland and Glenn (Marla) Lyons, Fort Erie. Beloved grandmother of Joshua, Breanna, Christian, Lydia and Dylan. Cherished sister of Victor Charles Waite (Maureen), England and cousin of Eileen Murphy (Tony). She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Mary Ann Waite. Patricia was an active member of Beta-Sigma-Phi since 1981, she was involved with various Lions Clubs in the Niagara Region for over fifteen years and she also has enjoyed lawn bowling for over twelve years. At seven years of age, Patricia danced for the British and American troops in England. She also operated a dance school in St. Catharines. Since 1967 she has enjoyed performing in America and Canada with “Alfie and the Pearlies” up until last year. Her family will receive friends at the NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES, 415 Regent Street, on Monday February 9th at 7 p.m. A service to celebrate her life which will include members of the Lions Club will be held at 8 o'clock and the visitation will continue following the service until 9 p.m. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery.
