Michel “Peanut” Lacroix died at the age of 38 on July 8, 2006 at the Temiskaming Hospital. He was predeceased by his father Gilles Lacroix. He is survived by his loving family: children Emily and Matthew and their mother Lise Joyal Lacroix; his mother Cécile Lacroix of Cobalt; his siblings Diane (and Nil) Leblanc, Suzanne Lacroix, Jocelyne Lacroix (and Marcel Roy), Carole (and Ken) Barker, Juliette Lacroix (and Jacques Bédard), Maurice Lacroix (and Linda Savoie), Donald (and Chantal) Lacroix and Georgette Lacroix; and by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The Lacroix Family will welcome friends at the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Thursday, July 13 at 11 a.m. Father Germain Turcotte officiating. Interment will take place at the Cobalt Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Mental Health Association will be gratefully acknowledged.
