KOUSAIE, Mary (nee Kouri). 1913-2000. A wonderful and very devoted mother and grandmother fell asleep in the Lord peacefully on January 11, 2000 in her eighty-sixth year after a lengthy illness. She was predeceased in 1989 by her beloved husband Nicholas F. Kousaie. Mary is the dear mother of Laraine (George Mahshie) Gwendolyn (Raymond Ayoup), Eleanor (Dr. Richard Rashid), Danya (Allan Rossi), Dr. Kenneth (Dr. Diane Frail), Dawn (Nicholas Shaheen) and Venise. She will be sadly missed by her seventeen grandchildren. Sister of the late Molly, Georgette and Nicholas. She is also survived by her brothers Robert (Joan Bosada), Dennis and Ronald (Susan Hanna) and sisters Kay and Virginia (late Edmond Shatilla). She will live in the hearts of her cherished family and friends who expressed their love and concern in so many ways during her illness. Family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, January 13 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Urgel Bourgie Funeral Home, 1255 Beaumont, T.M.R. Visitation will also be held on Friday, January 14 from 9:30 to 10:30 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 80 de Castelnau East, prior to the funeral service which will be held at 10;30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, 80 de Castelnau East, Montreal or the Cedars Cancer Institute of the Royal Victoria Hospital.
