Mary H. Sheehan 1915 - 2013 SPRINGFIELD - Mary H. (O'Neil) Sheehan, 98, a resident of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013 in the Mont Marie Medical Center in Holyoke. The daughter of the late Thomas W. and Catherine (Carmody) O'Neil, Mary was born on July 18, 1915. She was employed by the City of Springfield School Dept. as a secretary at Classical High School until her retirement in 1975. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Mary was predeceased by her husband, John J. Sheehan on October 2, 1945 as well as her 2 brothers, William and John O'Neil and her sister, Helen Morrow. She is survived by 2 sons, John M. Sheehan and his wife Ellen of West Chester, PA and Thomas G. Sheehan and his wife Patricia A. of Agawam, MA, 6 grandchildren, John, Daniel, Timothy, Thomas, David and Kevin Sheehan and 15 great grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013 beginning at the Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee with a period of visitation from 8:30 until 9:30. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut St., Springfield. Burial will follow the mass in St. Michael's Cemetery, Springfield.
