Abington Mary A. (Meehan) Jennings, age 98, passed away at her home in Abington on Thursday, March 13. Born in Boston, Mrs. Jennings grew up in the Meeting House Hill section of Dorchester. She was a Dorchester resident until her move to Abington 4 years ago. A graduate of St. Peters Grammar and High Schools and Boston Teachers College, she was a former Elementary School Teacher for the Boston Public Schools for many years. Mrs. Jennings enjoyed playing the piano. The beloved wife of the late Frederick V. Jennings, she is survived by her devoted children; Carol L. Mullen of Abington, Frederick V. Jennings of Canton and Mary Susan Burke of Hingham, her sister Ann Louise Anderson of Milton, 10 loving grandchildren & 13 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late James J. Meehan, William F. Meehan, John L. Meehan & Frank Meehan. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agatha Church, Milton, Tues. at 12 Noon. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Mon. 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be at Milton Cemetery.
