OBITUARY MARION NOONAN, C.N.D. (Sister St. Madeline of Charity) Passed away at Villa Marguerite, Pierrefonds, QC on May 31, 2005. She was the daughter of the late George J. Noonan and the late Helen E. Chapman. She was predeceased by her sisters, Bernice and Helen and her brothers, George, Donald, and Edward. She leaves to mourn her brother, Eric (Patricia) of St. Lambert, QC, her brother-in-law, sister-in-law, Ella of Calgary, Alta., a loving niece, Helen Holmes of London, Ont. and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. She will be sorely missed by her companions at Villa Marguerite. Sister Marion began her teaching career at Notre Dame College, Ottawa and after nine years was transferred to Montreal where she became a Professor at Marianopolis College. In 1952, she was appointed Dean of Studies at Marianopolis College, a position she held for fourteen years. She returned to Ottawa to take up the position of Councilor for Education for Holy Angels Province for the next eight years. In 1974, she returned to Montreal and spent many years researching the History of Marianopolis, volunteering in the Archives of the College, and working at the Catholic Information Centre. In 1999 she retired at Villa Marguerite. The Wake will be held at 14370 Pierrefonds Blvd, Pierrefonds on June 1, 2005 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. with a Vigil service starting at 8 p.m. The Eucharistic Celebration will take place at St. Suzanne's Church, 9501 Gouin Blvd. West, Pierrefonds at 10 a.m. on June 2, 2005. Thence to Cote des Neiges Cemetery, Montreal for burial. Published in the Montreal Gazette on 6/1/2005
