Marcus Leslie Rafuse August 04, 1916 - March 20, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home * RAFUSE……Marcus Leslie, age 88, of Upper Vaughan, Hants County, passed away on Sunday, March 20th, 2005, at the Windsor Elms, Windsor. Born on August 4th, 1916, in Upper Vaughan, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late David and Minnie (Armstrong) Rafuse. Marcus was employed with Minas Basin Pulp and Power, Hantsport, then worked for the Department of Highways, retiring after many years of service. He was a woodsman as well as an Ox teamster who was in many Ox pulling events at the Windsor exhibition, was a member of the Maritime Ox Association and a life member of the Upper Vaughan Baptist Church. Marcus was a loving generous husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, the former Gertrude Kilcup; son, Leslie (Maureen) Rafuse, Mantua; daughter, Evelyn (Paul) Rafuse, Upper Vaughan; grandchildren, Prudi (Jack) Zinck; Roger (Tanya) Rafuse; Jessica, Kaitlyn, and Nicholas Rafuse; chosen grandchildren, Monika, Stephanie and Braxton; great grandchildren, Autumn and Lilly; sister, Ruby Foreman, Surrey, B.C.; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Levy; brothers, Donald, Robert “Bob”, Samuel “Sam”, Clifford, Melbourne “Teddy”, Floyd, Maxwell, Harold and Clark. Visitation will be, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 22nd, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 23rd, 2005, in the Upper Vaughan Baptist Church, Upper Vaughan, with Rev. David Shaw officiating, assisted by Rev. Terry Coldwell. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Upper Vaughan. Donations may be made to the Upper Vaughan Baptist Church.
