LOUIS BIGELOW LEFEVRE, 79, passed away Friday, July 8, 2005. Louis was born on November 9, 1925 in Florence County, SC to Fred & Myrtle Bigelow LeFevre. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, being honorably discharged in June, 1946. He graduated from Clemson University in 1950. On May 26, 1951, he married Anne Farriba at Hill Baptist Church, in Augusta, Georgia. Louis worked 27 years for DuPont. In 1981, Louis established LeFevre Engineering, in Houston. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Anne Farriba LeFevre; son, Louis Bigelow LeFevre, Jr. and his wife Katherine Cook LeFevre; daughter, Kathryn Anne Schenk and her husband Gary Lee Schenk; and his grandchildren, Erika Anne Schenk, Andrew Lee Schenk, Michael Frederick LeFevre, and Matthew Ireland LeFevre. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13 at the Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, with Rev. Jim McPhail officiating. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to Memorial Drive United Methodist Church. Funeral services and interment will be held in Augusta, Georgia.
