WORCESTER— Lillian M. (Antaya) Bachand, 87, formerly of Chester St., Worcester, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, in the Beaumont Nursing Center, Northboro. Her husband, Paul G.R. Bachand, died in 1995. Her first husband, Claude Lee Pollard, died in 1944 when his Navy submarine was lost off the coast of Japan during World War II. She leaves two sons, Dr. David Lee Pollard and his wife Beth of Fairport, N.Y., and Paul D. Bachand and his wife Beth A. of Worcester; a daughter, Elaine M. Law and her husband James of Sterling; a brother, Lawrence Antaya of Springfield; three sisters, Irene Bachand of Agawam, Rita Bouthillier and Teresa Rivard, both of Springfield, and six grandchildren. She was born in Springfield, daughter of Felix and Alphonsie (Girouard) Antaya. She graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Springfield. She was a member of St. George’s Parish. Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester are Friday, Jan. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 8, from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. George’s Church, 38 Brattle St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assn., 36 Cameron St., Cambridge, MA 02140.
