WILBY , Lillian Catherine Patricia Mary (nee O'Donnell) January 17, 1928 - May 12, 2009 Lillian Catherine Patricia Mary Wilby (nee O'Donnell), beloved wife of Robert, passed away quietly at home near her loving husband Robert, on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at the age of 81 years. Lillian spent her working years as a dietary representative with the Department of National Defence and later with the Colonel Belcher and Rockyview Hospitals. She married Robert on June 6, 1947 in Montreal, QC. They moved to Barrie, ON where Robert was a member of the Canadian Army. In 1975, the family moved from Ontario to Calgary where Lil quickly discovered the wonder of the Rocky Mountains. Lillian had many passions in her life and her children were always thought of first. Music surrounded Lil. She was particularly fond of country western and the music of the Scottish Highlands. She was the family photographer and many hours of pleasure has been derived from that passion by all. Entertainment for Lil was most often enjoyed during a game of bingo, which the children were expected to enjoy equally as well. Lillian was also passionate about her "Pot of Gold". She will be deeply missed by all. Besides her loving husband Robert, Lillian will also be loving remembered by her sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce, Don and Helen, and Peter and Janice; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Bob Archer; and niece Gail Willoughby. Lillian is also survived by twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as her brothers and sisters, Clifford, Kenneth, Ralph, Margaret, and Noreen, and their spouses.
