Leo J. Nolette, 83 WESTMINSTER -- Leo J. Nolette, 83, a longtime Westminster resident, died Friday, May 8, in HealthAlliance Leominster Hospital, after a long illness, with his loving family by his side.He leaves his wife of 60 years, Shirley M. (Lawrence) Nolette; one son, Chris L. Nolette, and his wife Donna of Winchendon; one daughter, Brenda L. Lowry, and her husband Eric of Gardner; one sister, Alice Poisson of Lancaster, MA; four grandchildren, Erin Ryan, and her husband Joseph, Courtney Brown, and her husband Jim, and Kayla L. Nolette and Hannah R. Nolette; three great-grandchildren, Eva M. Ryan and Saige E. Ryan, and Mason R. Brown; He was predeceased by one brother, Roland Nolette, and four sisters, Theresa Rix, Blanche Lucier, Lucianne Charrette and Julie Richard. Leo was a Papermaker at the former James River Paper Co. for 32 years, retiring in 1991.He was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Parish in Westminster. He was an avid fisherman and wood carver. He enjoyed camping and carpentry. But most of all he loved spending time with his family.He was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving as a Private First Class in the U.S. Army.
