BERNARD, 'Edna' Kathlene (nee Waite)-The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at her late residence, 100 Locke Shore, Sherbrooke, on Saturday, August 30, 2003 of “Edna” Kathleen (nee Waite) Bernard of Sherbrooke, aged 86 years. Wife of the late Arthur Bernard. Dear mother of Don (Evelyn) Waite, Sumêmerside; Evelyn (Daley) Comeau, Toronto; Grant, Sherbrooke; Wayne (Irene), Sherbrooke; Gerry (Joyce), Traveller’s Rest. Loving grandmother of Donna Giddings, Kim Thomas, Kathy Dingle, Mike Comeau, Duane Comeau, Karla Bernard, Jeff Bernard and Jennifer Mosher. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and by her brothers and sisters Lorne (Evelyn) Waite, Lilly Bishop, Erskine (Ruth) Waite and her sister-in-law Loretta Waite. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Annie (McEwen) Waite, her brothers Russell, Ernest and Francis Waite and her sister Rose in infancy. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Sumêmerside, until Tuesday, then to St. Paul’s Church for funeral mass at 10 am. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Donations in Edna’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Visiting hours were held Monday 6-9.
