Avis de décès de Joseph-Edmund Wallace


WALLACE, JOSEPH E. -The death of Joseph Edmund Wallace, loving husband of Margaret Marie (Badeau) Wallace occurred peacefully surrounded by his family on December 2, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1937 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (LeBlanc) Wallace. Joe was employed by Wilson's Box Factory, a volunteer Fire Fighter before becoming employed by the city of Saint John Local 771 where he earned the rank of Lieutenant until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of the Saint John Labour Council, Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 69, Saint John Press Club, Main Brace Service Club, I.L.A. and was a supporter of the Liberal Party. Joe was a licensed commercial fisherman, enjoyed bowling, bingo, Country and Western Music and was an avid Hockey Fan of the Boston Bruins.Besides his loving wife Margaret, he was a proud father to Adele Chown (William) of Quispamsis, Stephen E. Wallace (Ramona) of Long Reach and Andrew Wallace (Kim) of Kitchener; adoring grandfather to Nicholas, Brittany, Hailey, Mitchell, Quentin, Joscelyne, Justine, Taylor and Cameron. Survived also by brothers Leo (Patsy) of Saint John, Arthur (Joan) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Leonard (Janice) of Saint John, Donald (Shirley) of Saint John and Norman (Helen) of Saint John; sisters Gladys Williams, Helen Allen (Stewart), Alice Wallace and Shirley Ann Daigle (Paul) all of Saint John; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers Gerald, Charles and William and sister Emma Williams. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Rose de Lima Church on Monday December 5, 2005 at 2:00p.m. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. Joe's family was the most important thing in the world to him, because of his love of children and one special granddaughter the family wishes donations be made to the Saint John Community Autism Centre.
