LEE, John Shannon February 19, 1948 - October 30, 2009 "Some of it's magic, some of it's tragic, but I had a good life all the way" A beloved husband, proud father, brother, uncle and best friend to be sorely missed by all. John passed away quietly after a courageous struggle with cancer. John's memory will be forever cherished by his wife and soul mate of 33 years, Sandra, his son and greatest joy, Ryan (College Station, Texas); brother Eric and his family; chosen brother and lifetime friend Claire Downing; stepmother, Libby (Toronto); brother-in-law Roy (Marilyn); sisters-in-law: Audrey (Don) Propp, Fern (Don) Hancock, Sharon (Bill) Barnett, Linda Jackson, Marilyn Richardson and their families; as well as special friends George (Cathie) Dodd, and David Jamieson. John was predeceased by his parents Tim and Carol, his father and mother-in-law Gordon and Isabel Jackson, brother-in-law Mick and Gary Jackson, sister-in-law Linda Henningsgard and nephew Doug Worobets. A Celebration of John's life will be held at later date. In lieu of flowers or donations John would ask you to celebrate his life by doing something kind for a friend in need. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Norwood Palliative Care Unit, and a special thanks to Lorraine, for their compassion & care to John and his family.
