John Frederick James Norris March 13, 1928 - February 11, 2006 Peacefully at home in Carlisle, on Saturday, February 11, 2006 in his 78th year, with his beloved wife Mary at his side, John, the Master Builder took his last breath. Dear father of Andrew (Anne) of Burlington and Richard (Nancy) of Scotland. Adored Grandfather and Biggest Sports Fan of Michael of Burlington. Loved brother of Patricia (Tom) in England and many relatives in England and Australia. Beloved friend of Dougal. John was active with the Warlingham Rugby Club in England and the Ontario Rugby Union, leaving behind many rugby chums. John's early career spanned from riding behind the Queen in the Royal Horse Guards of the Household Cavalry in England to entering the construction world. In 1968 he was recruited into the construction industry in Canada and was instrumental in the building of many tall structures in Canada, UK and USA. Included in his many accomplishments are First Canadian Place in Toronto and World Financial Center in New York City. After three retirements he continued with his passion for the construction industry up until his illness. John was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting, fishing and his dogs. He will be missed by many. Funeral will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2006 13:00hrs at the Flamboro Baptist Church, 41 5th Concession E., Waterdown. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in New York City. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Ducks Unlimited would be appreciated.
