John F. Nicoll formerly of Fitchburg area, Navy vet; 82 ENGLEWOOD, Florida John F. Nicoll, 82, of Englewood, Florida, died September 4th, at Venice Regional Medical Center in Florida. Born in Andover, Massachusetts, on Dec. 12, 1925. Mr. Nicoll came to the Englewood area 1989 from Wells, Maine. He retired from Commonwealth of Massachusetts where he worked for 32 years. An Episcopalian, A Mason, an Elk, and a member of the American Legion. Mr. Nicoll Served in the United States Navy as an Ensign and prior to that he sailed with the Merchant Marines. Predeceased by parents, Claude and Sarah (Drew) Nicoll. Survivors include wife of 59 years, Louise Crossley Nicoll; sons, David, Dana, and Douglas; sisters, Ruth Greenwood and Claudia Scheffer; and six grandchildren.
