RYAN, JOAN EILEEN - The death of Joan Eileen Ryan of Quispamsis, formerly of Hampton, widow of John Ryan occurred July 27, 2006 at St. John St. Stephen Nursing Home, Saint John. She was born in Albert, NB, daughter of the late Hayes and Josephine (Morrissey) Marks. She was a waitress at Fairport Restaurant, West Saint John for a number of years. She is survived by one daughter Shirley Ryan, Saint John, one son Dan Danford (Kathy), Saint John, granddaughter Bryanne Catherine Danford, Hampton; one sister Shirley Fleck, Quispamsis; two brothers Floyd Marks (Marion), Saint John, Ted Marks, Saint John; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter Gail Ryan. No visiting by request. A memorial service will be held Saturday, 1:00pm at Reid's Funeral Home Chapel, 1063 Main Street, Hampton, with Rev. Kevin Barry officiating. A reception will be at Reid's to be followed by a family and friend gathering to further celebrate Joan's life at 1291 Kiersteadvlle Road, Belleisle. Interment in St. Alphonsus Cemetery at a later date. Memorials to Canadian Cancer Society or NB Lung Association would be appreciated.
