From Hawkesbury, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2001. Joan had the good fortune of having two loving husbands, Fraser MacLeod and the late Malcolm MacLeod. Daughter of the late Hiram H. Kirby and of the late Eleanor Higginson. Loving mother of Ross (Cheryl Argue) of Newcastle, Barbara (Rick Bain) of Calgary, Ian (Clare Gillespie) of Ottawa and Margo (Andrew Warren) of Calgary. Grandmother of Erin, Grant, Leslie, Neil, Ben and great-grandmother of Amanda Mae. Sister of Kathleen Copeman of Toronto. Predeceased by three sisters, Edith, Mary and Gwyneth. Also survived by one sister-in-law, Sarah and many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. Friends may call at Berthiaume Funeral Home Ltd., 416 McGill, Hawkesbury (Ontario), Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. A funeral service will be held at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Hawkesbury on Thursday, May 10, 2001, at 11 a.m. Interment at Cassburn Cemetery in L'Orignal.
