Jean-Luc St-Hilaire , of Mattice Date of Death: February 2nd, 2006 The funeral service for former Mattice store co-owner Jean-Luc St-Hilaire of 294 Chabot Cres was held Feb. 7, 2006 in Mattice. He died Feb. 2 at Hearst Notre-Dame Hospital from an illness. Born May 2, 1953 in Hearst, he was a Levesque Lumber millworker before he and wife Lise (née Dallaire) took over Lise Corner Store in Mattice.They sold it in 2003. A sociable person, he was a fourth-degree Hearst Knight of Columbus and former executive member of Mattice’s Wado-Kai karate club who also enjoyed playing cards and darts. Predeceased by his father Léo St-Hilaire of Hearst and brother-in-law Jacques Plamondon of Mattice, he leaves wife Lise St-Hilaire of Mattice, mother Anne-Marie St-Hilaire of Hearst, daughter Tessa (Marc) of Ottawa, and son Pierre (Mike) St-Hilaire of Toronto. Also surviving are his sisters Émilienne (Jean-Yves) Plamondon of Hearst, Diane (Jean-Paul) Gagnon of Ottawa, and Lyse Plamondon and Monique (Lyle) Rancourt, all of Mattice, and brothers Lucien (Debra) St-Hilaire of Alberta and Michel Bisson of LaSarre, Que. Rev. René Grandmont was to direct yesterday’s afternoon service at Église St-François-Xavier Church. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at St-François-Xavier Cemetery. Commemorative donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Canadian Kidney Foundation.z
