SHAVER, James Gordon 1936 2003 Retired Air Canada Captain, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2003. Beloved husband of Jean. Dear father of Susan (Derek), grandchildren Anita and William. Son of Mrs. E.M. Shaver and the late Major J.H. Shaver of Cornwall, Ontario; sister Betty (Ian), Lauren and Michael. Gord sought out all that life could offer. He was actively involved in sailing, an Honorary Commodore of Beaconsfield Yacht Club and working his way towards becoming a scratch golfer. The Shaver family will receive friends and relatives at Collins Clarke Funeral Home (222 Highway 20, Pointe Claire, Quebec) on Thursday, April 17 from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral service on Saturday, April 19 at 1 p.m. at the McArthur and MacNeil Funeral Home, 428 Second Street E., Cornwall, Ontario. Visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at a later date. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all the staff at the West Island Manor for their kind and loving care.
