GREIG, James V. (Jim), Peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer, on Wednesday, June 11th, 2003. James V. (Jim) Greig, loving husband and best friend for 45 years of Jessie. Dear father of Kath (Michael) Ruggi and beloved "Grandad" of Mandy and Abbey. Brother of Kath Orr of London, England. Brother-in-law of Fred (Margie) Walsh and Lorne Walsh, all of New Brunswick. Cousin of Jim and Marj Greig of St. Catharines, Don and Juanita Gilpin and Ralph and Mary Alfaro of U.S.A. Dear fri end of Norm and Rose Fowler, Betty Kirkwood and family, Mitch and Jennifer McDowell and all members of the City of Thorold Pipe Band, past and present. Jim leaves a legacy in the Pipe Band world as a former member of the British Black Watch, Edinburg h City Police, former Pipe-Major of Clan MacFarlane and founder and Pipe-Major of the City of Thorold Pipe Band. Also a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #17, Thorold. The family will receive their friends at the KARL A. HAMMOND FUNER AL HOME AND CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral on Saturday, June 14th in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Douglas F. Robinson officiating. In accordance with Jim's wishes, cremation will take place. Br anch #17 Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service, Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
