Irene Cox PALM HARBOR, FL - Irene Cox (Marinake) 98, formerly of Springfield, MA., died peacefully on Friday, September 28, 2012 in her home in Palm Harbor, FL. She was born in Somersworth, NH to Thalia and John Marinake and was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Cox and her brother Charles Marinake. Irene was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, needle work and entertaining. She was past Grand President of the Daughters of Penelope from 1950-1952. Throughout her life, she remained very engaging and socially interactive with her family and many friends. She is survived by her niece Linda Hardy (William) of Palm Harbor, FL, her nephew John Marinake (Aphrodite) of Tampa, FL, her niece Cathy Vance (Stuart) of Palm Harbor, Fl, her great niece Nicole Marinake of New York City, and her great nephew Peter Marinake of Tampa, FL. Funeral Services were held at St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church in St. Petersburg, FL on October 1, 2012.
