WALLACE, Harry - Died peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital, after a brief illness, on Monday July 24th, 2006, at the age of 87 years. Harry Wallace was predeceased by his wives Thelma Allen, in 1963, and Lillian Laplante in 2005. He will be fondly remembered by his children William “Bill“ Wallace (Denise), of North Bay, Ann Beauregard (Rolly) of Cache Bay, Irene Daly (Herbert), Lionel Lacarte (Arlene) and Linda Lacarte all of North Bay. Predeceased by his son Jerry Lacarte (wife Sheila of North Bay) as well as his parents Henry and Elizabeth Wallace. Remembered by his 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Harry was a long time resident of Redbridge, moving into the city during his later years. His working life was spent with the Canadian Pacific Railway as a carman, from which he retired after 35 years of service. Harry was an avid sports fan particularly baseball and hockey. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) this evening from 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday July 26th at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Terrace Lawn Cemetery. If desired donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
