SALTER, Gordon Wilson At Stonebridge Manor, in Carleton Place, on Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at the age of 87. Loving husband of Shirley Irene (nee Duncanson). Dear father of Leslie (Frank Gisburn), Heath, Morley (Denise), Melanie (Terry Sowden) and Shayne (Susan Vaughan). Proud grandfather of Kim (John Rossos), David Gisburn, Lachlan Salter, Darryl and Nick Sowden and Beth Salter. Great-grandfather of Sophie and Tasha Rossos. Predeceased by his brother Howard, of London, ON, and daughter Christine. Gordon was born in Smiths Falls ON, in July 1918, and studied Engineering at Queen's University. He worked for Alcan Aluminum for twenty-eight years in Arvida and Beauharnois QC. Following this, he took a position with Energy, Mines and Resources in Ottawa. Gord and his wife Shirley enjoyed a long retirement in both Florida and Ontario. Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Rd., at Roosevelt Ave., on Sunday, October 23, 2005 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service in the chapel Monday at 11 a.m. For those who wish, a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
