SHAVER, Gertrude Elizabeth Gertrude was born in Fort William, Ontario in 1917. She passed away Saturday, November 5, 2005 at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital following a lengthy illness. Predeceased by a brother and four sisters, she is survived by William John (Jack) Shaver, her loving husband of 63 years, six devoted children: Bill, Mike (Nancy and their children Valerie, Dan, and Ben), Patricia Kaplan (Steve and their children Benjamin and Michelle), Mary Gartshore (and her children Jason, Joshua, Lianne, and Lindsy), John (Verna and their sons Jonah and Matthew) and Susan (and her daughter Kelsey). Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (between Bayshore Dr. and Baseline Rd.) on Friday, November 11th from 1:00 p.m. until service time. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m., followed by a brief reception for friends and relatives.
