Avis de décès de George-Richard Wallace


WALLACE, GEORGE RICHARD - George Richard Wallace, passed away after a brief illness, at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, Perth-Andover on January 1, 2006. Born in 1935, in Tobique Narrows, the son of the late Richard and Beulah (Hudson) Wallace. He is survived by his wife Helen Wallace, sons Brian (Elizabeth) Glavin and Robb Wallace; daughters Moyra and Anne Wallace; five grandchildren: Mathew and Mackenzie Glavin, Zachary and Adrian Lizotte, and Morgan Wallace-Martial. He is predeceased by his parents, brother John Wallace, sisters Mary Jane Savoy and Freda Young. George served 23 years in the Royal Canadian Armed Forces, Engineering Corps, Mapping and Charting Establishment, retiring as Warrant Officer 1st class. He spent many years mapping the arctic. He taught surveying at Carleton University, University of New Brunswick and Kaduna Polytechnic. Upon retirement he and his family returned to New Brunswick to farm Christmas trees. George is remembered as a loving father and a kind friend. Visitation will be held on Friday January 6th at White's Funeral Home, Perth-Andover from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Masonic service will take place at 7:30. Interment in the Larlee Creek Cemetery in the spring. Memorial donations to the Southern Victoria Cancer Fund, Larlee Creek Cemetery or donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements by White's Funeral Home, Perth-Andover, NB.
