Avis de décès de George-J. Norris


Peacefully in hospital Perth on Wednesday, November 19th, 2003 George Norris (founder of Norris Sand & Gravel, Veteran WWII, Governor General Footguards - Armoured Division) in his 83rd year. Beloved husband for 57 years of Mary Veronica (Jehu) Norris; loved and respected father of Sue (David) Young Perth, P.J. (Joyce) Norris of Cochrane and George (Sandy) Norris of McDonalds Corners; cherished grandfather of Jay Young and Jon and Elizabeth Norris. Dear brother of Aileen (Frank) Shelly of Gravenhurst, Margaret (Denzil) Marks of Smiths Falls, Everett "Eddy" (the late Doreen) Norris of Perth, Rodney (Linda) Norris of Smiths Falls, Willis Norris of B.C. and the late Murray, Stewart and Gilbert Norris; brothers-in-law of Gladys Norris of Perth, William (Tilly) Jehu of England and the late Ruth Norris. George was a life long friend of the late P.J. Mulligan of Pembroke, he will be sadly missed by all his family and good friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth on Friday, November 21st, 2003 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel Saturday at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception in Farrell Hall. In remembrance, contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or fund of one's choice would be appreciated. Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #244 will hold a Veteran's Service of Remembrance Friday at 6:45 p.m. "A remarkable man who lived a remarkable life".
