LEOMINSTER -- Florence Louise (Racine) Wallace, 89, of 28 Morningside St., died Sunday evening, Jan. 11, in HealthAlliance The Highlands, Fitchburg, after an illness. She was born on Feb. 25, 1913, in Fitchburg, the daughter of Thomas and Carrie (LaFortune) Racine and was a lifelong Leominster resident. Mrs. Wallace taught early American decorating at the former Leominster Night School for 10 years, and also taught it at home. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church in. Mrs. Wallace is survived by two nephews and two nieces. Her husband, Raymond B. Wallace, died in 1989. She was also predeceased by three sisters. WALLACE -- On Jan. 11, Florence Louise (Racine) Wallace, 89, of Leominster. A graveside service will be held at a date and time to be announced in Calvary Cemetery, Winchendon. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital ALSAC, PO Box 1818, Memphis, TN 38101.
