BELYEA, ELLEN FRANCES 'NELLIE' -The death of Ellen Frances 'Nellie' Belyea, wife of the late Arthur William Alan Belyea, occurred on October 9, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Peter and Lorinda (Melanson) Raymond. She spent many wonderful winters with her husband, Art, in St Petersburg, Florida. In early years she enjoyed the many card games with her friends. Later in life she became a very avid bowler with "The Recycled Teenagers Team" much to the surprise of her immediate family. The most treasured moments were the times spent with her family and friends. She was a member of Portland United Church. Surviving her are her son Arthur and his wife Joan of Halifax, NS, her daughters Donna Pratt of Saint John, Frances Bambury and her husband Bill of Saint John, Nancy King of Dartmouth, NS, Sandra Scott and her husband Bob of Saint John, her 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Her brothers Andrew and Donald Raymond and sisters Rita Thompson, Lena Knudson, Alice Little, Katie Daley, Jean Calvin and Marjorie Cromwell predeceased her. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2005, at 11:00 am, from Brenans Chapel. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery.
