SPRINGFIELD - Eleanor M. (Jefferson) Leveillee, 95, formerly of Irene St., passed away Thursday, Jan. 27th, in a local nursing home. Born in Springfield, she was a life long resident. Eleanor was a Teacher, beginning her career at Commerce High School, later teaching in the Longmeadow School System at Glenbrook and Williams Middle School for many years. Eleanor was a Communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Springfield and a member of the Hampden County Retired Teachers Association. She was also a member of the Advocacy Network, Inc., formerly known as Belchertown Friends Association. Eleanor was the wife of the late Clarence G. Leveillee who died in 1993. She is survived by her three children, Paul J. of Woodbridge, IL; John C. of Scotia, NY, and Claire Leveillee of West Springfield; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Besides her husband she was also predeceased by her two sons, Alan in 1998 and Neal in 2003 and her three sisters, Mildred, Marion, and Ruth. Her funeral will be Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Hafey Springfield Chapels, 494 Belmont Ave., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Paul the Apostle Church. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
