Edward L. Kelley 1933 - 2013 MONSON - Edward L. Kelley, 79, of Monson died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at University of Mass Medical Center, Worcester. Edward, son of the late Lawrence L. and Geraldine R. (Slattery) Kelley was born in Palmer on September 20, 1933. Raised in Springfield he graduated from Cathedral High School. Edward worked for Springfield Municipal Hospital for 15 years and then with Eastover Resort in Lenox for 20 years. He resided in Springfield, Lenox, and in Monson for the past 8 years. Edward was an avid Boston Sports Fan. He served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the VFW of Springfield. In addition to his parents, Edward was predeceased by a brother Richard R. Kelley. He is survived by four sons, James E. Kelley and his longtime companion Suzy Paul of Ludlow, Daniel J. Kelley and his longtime companion Lori Corsi of Wilbraham, Robert L. Kelley of Chicopee, and John V. Kelley and his wife Mary of Monson; a daughter, Mary K. Boss and her husband Thomas of Hampden; a brother, Thomas P. Kelley and his wife Ann Marie of Wolcott, CT; a sister, Kathleen K. Coates of Troy, NY; four grandchildren, Sarah K. Boss, Brian E. Kelley, Jessica M. Boss, and Samantha L. Kelley; his longtime companion, Leta Bissonette of Monson; along with many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours for Edward will be held on Monday, May 13, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at Sampson's Chapel of the Acres Funeral Home, 21 Tinkham Road, Springfield. A private graveside service with Military Honors will be held in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Springfield.
