Avis de décès de Douglas Wallace


Major Douglas G. C.D., RCASC (Ret.) Peacefully on March 18, 2001 at the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus, after a brief but difficult struggle. Born May 5, 1927 to William John Arthur (Jack) and Ellen Elizabeth Alice (Nell, nee McDermott) in Esquimalt B.C. Doug was predeceased by his parents and brother Edward (Ted). He is survived by daughter Susan Ellen, granddaughter Ellen Elizabeth and grandson Robert Douglas Jacobson, as well as brother John Francis (Jack) and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues, too many to mention. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 24, 2001 at 2 pm at St. Basil Roman Catholic Church, 940 Rex Ave. Ottawa, followed by a reception for all friends and family at the site of the infamous "Bridge Club", Ramada Hotel Lounge, 111 Cooper St. Ottawa, 4-7 pm. Special thanks to Dr. Valia and the staff, orderlies, nurses and doctors of the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus. Donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
