Avis de décès de Dorothy Wallace


DeMERCHANT, DOROTHY - The death of Dorothy DeMerchant of Perth-Andover passed away at Victoria Glen Manor on June 4, 2006. Born in Tobique Narrows on April 6, 1924, she was the oldest child of the late Richard and Beulah (Hudson) Wallace. Dorothy is survived by her sisters, Verna Baker (Roland) of Tilley, Glenna MacIntosh (Graeme) of Tobique Narrows, Nola Myers of Fort Fairfield, Maine; her brother, James Wallace (Margaret) of Tobique Narrows. Besides her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Philip DeMerchant; her sisters, Mary Jane Savoy and Freda Young; her brothers, Johnny and George Wallace. Dorothy graduated from Provincial Teachers College in 1943. She taught in local schools for 25 years. Her last 15 years of teaching were at Andover Elementary. Dorothy was very involved with the local museum and was a member of the Historical Society. Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at 2pm from Brunswick Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jason Hinsdale officiating. Interment will be in Larlee Creek Cemetery.
