Dorothy N. Grondin 1922-2009 Miramichi - Dorothy Norma Grondin, widow of the late Anthony R. (Tony) Grondin, of King Street, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at the age of 86. Born in Drummond, NB, on October 27, 1922, she was the daughter of the late William and Matilda (Soucy) Greenier. She was a homemaker and attended St. Michaels Basilica, Miramichi; was a former member of the C.W. L. as well as a former member of St. Michaels Ladies Auxillary. She is survived by three daughters, Sharon McCormick (Gerry), of Oakville, Ont., Judy Scott (Tom), of Miramichi, Ruth McLeod (Rick), of Fredericton; three sons, Terry Grondin , of Toronto, Ont., John Grondin (Teri), of Fredericton, Michael Grondin, of Miramichi; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Lorette Watson, of Largo, Fl, USA; one brother, Adrian Greenier, of Enfield, Conn., USA; as well as numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Tony, in 1992; seven sisters, Rose Zelondex, Gertrude Melinken, Anna Greenier, Alice Roberts, Lily Cote, Edna Greenier, Ida Poitrais; three brothers, Henry, Pious and Claude Greenier. Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Friday only, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening, at 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Michaels Basilica, on Saturday, October 17, 2009, at 11 am, conducted by Father John Fraser. Interment will be in St. Michaels Cemetery, Miramichi. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Miramichi Chapter of the Alzheimer Society, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
