Dorothy Eileen Banks September 17, 1917 - June 09, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Fair Haven Funeral Home Dorothy Eileen Banks, 87, of Parkland Estates, Riverview, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, June 9th 2005. Born in Moncton, September 17th, 1917, she was the daughter of the late M. Harris and Albertha (Sullivan) MacFarlane. . Dorothy was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch #6, the Pearl Rebekah Lodge #9, the Moncton Lionettes, the Bicentennial Skaters Club, she was a Shriner Lady, and a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross. Dorothy loved her morning coffee at MacDonalds Main Street, and afternoon tea at MacDonalds Coverdale road. She enjoyed a brief stay at Parkland Estates, Riverview, where the staff became her extended family. She is survived by her son Douglas A. Brown (Lillian) of Miramichi, her daughter Eileen E. Plante (Gerald) of Riverview, step-sons; Peter and David Banks, a brother Everett of Riverview, grandsons; Michael and Andrew Plante, granddaughter Linda Brown, and nephews Bruce and Donald MacFarlane. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was pre-deceased by her husbands; Truman L. Brown and Arnold Banks as well an infant son Carl. At her request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations to the New Brunswick Lung Association, would be appreciated.
