Don Hitchie April 25,1947 - October 13, 2015 It is with profound sadness the family announces his peaceful passing on October13, 2015, at the VG Hospital in Halifax, after suffering a long illness. He was predeceased by his mother Isabelle(Vance) Hitchie and father Stan Hitchie of Regina,SK. Don was born April 25,1947 in Regina,Sk. He entered the 'oil patch' at age 19 and joined Shell Canada in 1968, his work taking him tall over the world. He was a generous and caring person who shared his informed knowledge with those who were fortunate to share his life. He is survived and fondly remembered by his sisters, Judie Krislock and Jill (Gerry) Harris of Regina and his special nieces and nephew; Ashleigh Krislock (Calgary), Taylor Krislock (Saskatoon), Meghan (Joe) Ngae (Calgary) Logan (Scott) Rodonets (Regina) and his step children Craig and Christine MacInnes. We would like to thank his good friend, Paul, who was with him when he passed away and his many friends who visited him in the hospital over the past several months. A celebration of Don's life took place in Halifax. A memorial in Calgary will be held on the 28th of November at the Kensington legion (1910 Kensington Rd NW) from 7pm - 9 pm.
