WALLACE, Charles "Chuck" Kusiar BA, MEd, C.D. (Graduate - Queens University 1950) Suddenly, at home in Hamilton, Ontario on Friday, August 29, 2008 in his 85th year. Beloved husband for 58 years of Mary (nee Sweeney). Much loved father of the late Jamie, Jane Elizabeth and Charles and his wife Harvi. Proud and loving Gramps/Grampa to C.J., Heather and Matthew. Predeceased by brothers James and Hugh and sister Edna Dolan. He will also be greatly missed by many extended family and friends. Chuck served in the Armed Forces for over 50 years, dedicatedly involved with the Sea Cadets, the Reserve Forces and was also a Veteran of WWII serving on a mine sweeper "The Drummondville" in the North Atlantic. He also served in the field of education as Science Department Head at Delta and Sherwood Secondary Schools, prior to which he was Principal at North Grenville District High School. Though he sustained a fulltime and accomplished career he continued to find time to be active in construction of houses and especially for his true love and passion - music. The many happy hours spent listening to him play and sing will be greatly missed. Friends may call at the Carp Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 115 Rivington Street, Carp on Monday, September 1st, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. A graveside memorial service will be held on Tuesday at St. Mary's Cemetery, Pinhey's Point on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. For those wishing a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
