WALDO, Fla. - Mr. Charles Joseph Laplante, 76, resident of Waldo, Fla., passed away Sunday, March 6, 2005, at his residence. He was born and raised in Van Buren and had resided in the Bradford County area for 17 years. He was a retired businessman. He was predeceased by his wife, Theresa Laplante. He is survived by his longtime companion, Claudine LeCam; five sons, David Laplante of Enfield, Conn., Michael Laplante of Wales, Mass., Stephen Laplante of Windsor Locks, Conn., Peter Laplante of Westminister, Colo., and Robert Laplante of Bloomfield, Conn.; four daughters, Sharlene (Thomas) Laplante-Andros of East Windsor, Conn., Sandra (Stephen) Hayward of Enfield, Conn., Michelle (Chris) Barnett of Somers, Conn., and Monique Letson of Hampton, Conn.; three brothers, John Laplante Jr., of Van Buren, Gilbert Laplante of Danbury, Conn., and Roger Laplante of Marshfield; six sisters, Agnes Violette, Edna Violette and Marcella Levasseur, all of Van Buren, Jeanne D'Arc Nadeau of Quebec, Canada, Alice Morrow of Van Buren and Claire Porter of Bangor; and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2005, at the chapel of Archie Tanner Funeral Home with Father Mike Williams officiating with burial at a later date. Archie Tanner Funeral Home of Starke, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.
