GRIMALDI, CECILIA AGNES - (February 14, 1923 - April 22,2009) The family announces with deep sorrow the death of Cecilia Agnes Grimaldi at the age of 86 years. Lovingly remembered by her sister Becky (Sam) Muzzi of Huntsville, daughters Sylvia Grimaldi , Rita Jones (Chris), Charlene Grimaldi, son Carl Grimaldi (Brenda) all of Timmins and son Robert Grimaldi (Christine) of Welland. Cecilia will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Gina Sicoli (Rudy) Timmins and her special friend of many years Maxine Lenchuk of Timmins. Also mourning their great loss are numerous grandchilden, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Cecilia was pre deceased by her husband Sam Grimaldi, son Ralph Grimaldi, parents George and Bridgette Hastings, sisters, Monica, Margaret, Mary, brother Joe, grandson D.J Greenbury, niece Monica Pelland, and son-in-law Robert Monette. At the time of her passing Cecilia was surrounded by those who cherished her deeply . Mom 's greatest joy was being around the family that she loved so much. Mom also loved to watch a great round of golf and was a dedicated fan of her favorite soap opera. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr.Gillies and the caring nursing staff of Continuing Care, third floor of The Timmins and District Hospital . They always appreciated Mom's quick wit and dry sense of humour.The family will recieve friends on Saturday April 25, 2009 from 12 noon to 2:00 pm at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, 150 Balsam St. S. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Miron Wilson Funeral Chapel. (Fr. Mitch Sliwa officiating) Reception will be held afterwards in the funeral home lounge. After cremation, Cecilia will be laid to rest with her beloved mother Bridgette Hastings. Remembrance donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
