JOHNSTON, CecilBorn in Northern Ireland on January 16, 1923. Died in Gatineau, Quebec on December 2, 2016 at the age of 93 years. Beloved husband of the late Frances Johnston (nee Quigley). Loving father of David (Danielle Lanthier) and Maggie (Neil Vennard). Cecil was grandfather to Steven (Anick Boissonneault), Rachel (Steeves Proteau), Catherine, Emma (Ryan Leaver) and Lydia (Nathan Skulstad). He was also great-grandfather to Martin, Valérie, Émilie, Niko, Liam, Félicia, Blanche, Nora, Lena and Maya. Cecil will be missed by his extended family and friends from La Résidence le Monastère, and from St. Andrew''s Church in Aylmer. The family would like to thank Dr. Moreau and the staff at La Résidence le Monastère and also the staff of the CSSS Gatineau who all provided care and support. Friends may visit at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt), Ottawa on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Andrew''s Presbyterian Church, 1 Eardley Street, Gatineau, (Aylmer) Quebec on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 11 a.m. The family will receive guests at church as of 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Andrew''s Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
