of Littleton, Veryfine retiree, Air Force vet; 80 LITTLETON Bert H. Webster, 80, of Littleton, died at Wayside Hospice in Wayland on December 9.He was born in Boston on July 15, 1929, son of the late Beatrum and Violet (Hetherington) Webster.He grew up in Arlington and Ashby, and came to Littleton in Second Grade. He graduated from Littleton High School in 1947, and served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.Bert married Carolyn in 1951, living their first year where he was stationed in Montana where their first son was born.They moved back to Littleton and Mr. Webster worked as a truck driver all his life for his father, various companies, and later Veryfine in Littleton for 28 years; retiring at age 66. He then drove for Burnham Transport in Ayer for 11 years.Mr. Webster achieved his private pilot's license at 40, owned his own airplane and was a member of AOPA.He and his wife traveled all 50 States, and owned a house in Prince Edward Island which they enjoyed and shared with hundreds of friends. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Littleton, and was a Sunday School Teacher for mentally challenged adults.His survivors include his wife, Carolyn (Furbush)Webster of Littleton. His children, Glenn Webster, Wayne Webster and his wife, Janetanne, Lyle Webster and his wife, Gretchen, Dawn Gravlin, and Lynne Swanson and her husband Dale, all of Littleton.He was Grandfather of David Gravlin and his wife, Lora, Peter Gravlin and his wife, Natasha, Jennifer Griggs and her husband, Eric, Michael Gravlin, Lisa Swanson Ferrini, Dale Swanson and his wife, Jill, Wendy Swanson, Devon Webster and Micah Webster, and the Great-Grandfather of Morgan Gravlin, David Gravlin 3rd, Taylor Gravlin, Autumn Gravlin, Peter Gravlin Jr., Josie Gravlin, Jillian Griggs, Dylan Griggs, and Phaedra Ferrini.WEBSTER Funeral Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Littleton, Littleton Common, Littleton on Monday, Dec. 14 at 11 a.m. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton.
