JACOBS, Annette S. “Katsitsiontha“ - 67, of Cornwall Island, Ontario, died Wednesday (August 20, 2008) morning at Cornwall Community Hospital. She was born May 15, 1941 in Cornwall, Ontario, the daughter of Michael Caldwell and Mary Sova. She was adopted and raised by Lawrence K. and Cecelia White Jacobs. She attended schools on the reservation. She worked at various jobs in Syracuse and Levi's in Cornwall. She then worked a personal support worker with the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne until the time of her retirement. She was an active member the Tri-District Elders. She enjoyed watching soap operas, bowling having belonged to many leagues, driving people around, and visiting with her many friends. Annette is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Marty Clemmo, Rochester, and their children, Kimberly Ives, Kevin and Jeannie, Korena and Chad, and Kristina and Jamie; and many great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by the children of Michael Caldwell and her god children, Francis and Lannie Mitchell, Conrad Lazore and Lawrence Thompson. She will be sadly missed by her best friend Charlene Curleyhead and the family of Darcy Day. She was predeceased by her adopted parents, Lawrence and Cecelia and her birth mother, Mary Sova and her birth father, Michael Caldwell. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the DONALDSON FUNERAL HOME, Massena, where funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00 AM with Rev. Jack L. Downs, officiating. Cremation will follow.
