Allen Frederick Kelley of Greenfield, Massachusetts died at Charlene Manor April 30, 2015, of complications following surgery. He was 100 years old. He was born November 15, 1914, in Franklin, New Hampshire, second to the youngest son of Frederick Howard Kelley and Mary Elizabeth (Seeber) Kelley. His two sisters, Marion and Celia, and eight brothers, Howard, Horace, Richard, Robert, J. Arnold, Ezra, Philip, and James, predeceased him. He was in good health last November when he celebrated his 100th birthday at the Arbors in Greenfield surrounded by a multitude of family members, friends and neighbors from near and far. Allen leaves his four children: Al Kelley and wife Carole of Santa Cruz, California; Patricia Graves of South Deerfield, Massachusetts; David Kelley and wife Althea of Flushing, New York; and Carolyn MacDonald and husband William of Williamsburg, Virginia. He also leaves 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He had a long life and a good life and he will be missed. In accordance with Allen’s wishes, a graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 6, at 11:30 a.m. at Franklin Cemetery, 31 Thompson Park, Franklin, NH. Jack Cooper of the South Deerfield Congregational Church will officiate.
