LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, at St. Anthony Catholic Church for Alfred St. Julien, 83, who died Sept. 27, 2005, at Amelia Manor Nursing Home. The Rev. Michael Sucharski, S.V.D. will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.Mr. St. Julien was a veteran of World War II and retired from Lafayette Parish School System where he served as a bus driver for 14 years.He is survived by two daughters, Rita Canoge, of Breaux Bridge and Laura S. Chargois, of Simi Valley, Calif.; two sons, Lawrence (Ann) St. Julien, of Breaux Bridge and John Paul (Jeanette) St. Julien, of Junction City, Kan.; two sisters, Anna S. Derouselle and Verna S. Bosset, both of Lafayette; one brother, Claude St. Julien, of Lafayette; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his wife, Olivia T. St. Julien; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norbert St. Julien; and three brothers, Wilfred St. Julien, Norris St. Julien and Alvin St. Julien.Visitation will be observed Monday, Oct. 3, 2005 at St. Anthony Catholic Church beginning at 8 a.m. until time of services with a rosary recited at 9 a.m.Syrie Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
