Pierre Goguet was baptized on June 17, 1635 in St-Etienne, Marans, Charente-Maritime, France. Son of Michel Joguet and Marie Jounot, he married Marie-Louise Garnier around 1656, in France. From this union are born 7 children. On June 5, 1659, he enlisted in La Rochelle, towards Jeanne Mance. He arrives at the ship Le Saint-André, with his wife and daughter. He moved to Montreal, he has 3 acres of land in 1667. In 1681, he has 6 horned animals and 12 acres of land. He died on April 12, 1684 and was buried the next day in Montreal.
