Pioneers of the Chapdelaine family

André Chapdelaine dit Larivière was baptized on September 10th 1664 in Plomb, Normandy (Manche), France. Son of Julien Chapdelaine and Jeanne Masson, he marries Anne Chèvrefils, daughter of François Chèvrefils and Marie Lamy, on September 16th 1691. Fifteen children were born from their union. A widower, he then marries Marie-Anne Joly, on October 29th 1720 in Sorel. Four children were born from their union. A widower a second time, he marries, Marie Chatelle, on November 21st 1731 in Berthier. No child was born from this union. He is a soldier and militia captain. He dies at Saint Ours and he is burried on October 4th 1740.

André Chapdelaine-Larivière was baptized on September 10, 1664 in Plomb, Manche, France. Son of Julien Chapdelaine and Jeanne Le Masson, he married Anne Chèvrefils, daughter of François and Marie Lamy, on September 16, 1691 in St-Ours. They had 15 children. He married a second time with Marie Joly, daughter of Pierre and Geneviève Therillon, on October 29, 1720 in Sorel. From this union were born 4 children. He married a third time with Marie Chatel, daughter of Henri and Marie Larue, on November 21, 1731 in Berthier. They had no children. He came to New France in 1690 as a soldier of the Troupes de la Marine and milicia captain. He died on October 4, 1740 in St-Our and was buried there two days later.
